The European Moulded Pulp Producers Association (EMPPA) welcomes the European Commission’s initiative to strengthen the Single Market for circular products and secondary raw materials through a Circular Economy Act (CEA).
Position paper on the European Bioeconomy Strategy
In view of the overexploitation of primary natural resources, rising greenhouse gas emissions and biodiversity loss, along with soaring pollution from single-use plastic packaging waste and microplastic, the EU needs a new bioeconomy strategy in line with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework’s targets for biodiversity protection and restoration.
